long time no see..

Well Its been a while since i posted here.. Ive been busy with life. I am currently working on SEVERAL projects for xmas.. and I have one Finished plus I still have not finished Ellie's blanket.
I have Finished this stocking for my newest nephew who is celebrating his FIRST christmas.

Ellie's blanket ..

well i have half of ellie's blanket finished and i got the ribbons added to her mitts, booties and bonnet.so below are the pics.. now i am working the other half of the blanket then i will put a boarder around it and a scalloped shell edging like on the bonnet and booties and maybe some ribbon..

Ellie's bonnet and booties

So I have finally started a project and finished it in a reasonable amount of time.. I made the little girl we are due to have in Feb , who will be named Ellie a bonnet and a set of booties. I wrote my pattern out and it is now copyrighted and hope to share someday as i Googled crocheted bonnets and found almost none and if certain idea thief posts a pattern similar to mine I m goin to scream. so below im putting up pics of Ellie's Bonnet set.. I also plan on making her a blanket like Maggie's only in the same yarn i made these with..

county fair and new baby

well i entered Maggie's blanket and my pig bib and dog bib in the fair this year and i didnt do as well as i thought they would but i did end up with ribbons..so i was proud that i put my self out there..Last Thursday we found out our new baby is a girl and we will name her Ellie.. no middle name yet..i have set in to crochet her a hat and bootie and have one bootie done.. i am also open to sugguestion as to what else i should make her.. i am goin to do a baby blanket as well.. maybe a dress.. depends how much bed rest im on later on.. with both my other two kids i was on at least two months bed rest.. So any suggestions??

Something I learned about my self..

I am proud to announce that I have recently embraced my inner knitter and crocheter and am now accepting the fact that ..
I AM BI-STITCH-UAL..
that means I can both knit and crochet.. I heard this term from my friend and crochet designer Renee.. you can read her blog HERE.. I really found it entertaining and thought I would share..

1 Square = 4 in. (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

With A, ch 4. Join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring.

From right side, join C with sl st anywhere along edge of Afghan. Ch 3. Dc evenly around, working 3 dc in each corner; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Fasten off.

Maggie's blanket

so it has been a while since ive posted any thing on here, ive been working off and on with several projects. Mainly a baby blanket for my friends little baby. i finally got it finished and am very pleased how it turned out . It is not laying flat here. I made my own design but used a pattern from Vanna's Choice Yarns as a basis.. you can can see it here at lions brand yarn or here.. where i posted a blog about it.. This is my spin on it.. but i like it. let me know what you think..
